Lahore vs Karachi, Who’s Gonna Lose It Better This Time?

Lahore Qalanders continued its losing streak meanwhile Karachi Kings disappointed us again

Karachi Kings battled against Quetta Gladiators in National Stadium Karachi. Kings won the toss and chose to bat first. 

The inning started with the hope that Babar Azam will give a tough time to Quetta but it was full of fits and begin as four batsmen weren’t able to reach 30 as Mohammad Hasnain and Tymal Mills were in full form and kept the Kings off balance with regular changes of pace. Yet despite so many individual efforts, the Kings still managed to score 156 runs in 20 overs with a loss of 9 wickets.

Gladiators started the innings a little slow, let’s thank the trio of run-outs, not to mention a trio of other run-out chances that Kings missed in the field. When Quetta lost Azam Khan’s wicket, fans were disappointed and lost hope. But Anwar Ali and Chris Jordan did an amazing job and made Quetta Gladiator win. 

While fans were talking about the Day match, Gaddafi Stadium was all set to host an interesting match between Islamabad United and Lahore Qalanders. United won the toss and elected to bowl first. Lahore Qalanders were successfully able to score 182/6 runs and put a little pressure on the opposite team. Muhammad Hafeez played an outstanding innings of 98 runs in just 57 balls but unfortunately he couldn’t complete his century.

Islamabad United was second to bat with Caption Shadab Khan scoring 52 runs in 29 balls and build up the score for united. Though fans were highly disappointed by Luke Ronchi’s performance yesterday. On the other side, the young sensation, Shaheen Afridi gave a tough time to United’s batmans and took 4 wickets against them.  

The match got intense when United needed 20 runs in 20 balls with a loss of 9 wickets. Although United won with a tight finish, fans appreciated Lahore Qalanders for their performance.
